Private Referral and Audit Scheme for Optoms

To take advantage of the scheme please submit your private referral on the cataract direct referral form – Optom Private Referral Form for Cataract or CLE A private referral can come directly from you to us and does not need to be sent by a GP.

Once a patient has been discharged from Midland Eye they are directed back to you and the refractive outcome measurement is recorded on the Cataract post examination form – Optom Post Op Form

Insured Patients

Midland Eye is accredited by all major private medical insurers and successfully undertakes insurer audits regularly. We endeavor to make the process of working with insurers as smooth as possible for patients.

Self Pay Patients

Many of our patients choose to pay for their own treatment. Wherever possible we offer all-inclusive package prices to include treatment and a post-operative appointment. However, there are sometimes additional costs due to unrelated medical conditions that require additional treatment or further tests.

Midland Eye is an ambulatory day-care clinic. We can accommodate wheelchair users but do not have use of a hoist due to the nature of the Victorian building.  If you have any queries regarding this please call us.
