Just over one year after opening its doors, the Midland Eye Institute has won an award for Innovation and Technology.

"It did not take much time to get established as one of the leading eye day surgery centres in the Midlands" is Mr Cunliffe's reply. "It is good to see that our teams efforts have been recognised. Both our medical staff and non medical staff have worked hard to achieve this. We knew it was going to happen, given the dedication of all concerned."

It is interesting to note that the Midland Eye Institute has also received the 2005 award.
